I became interested in Cuba during my search for a study abroad program. I stumbled upon Cuba, not knowing that it was even possible for Americans to travel there. As it turned out, I spent four months living in Havana, and taking classes at the University of Havana. Prior to traveling to Cuba, I knew only of the country in passing. My only source of information was mainstream news. Now that I am back, it seems as though Cuba is the only subject that I study. This semester I have done numerous projects on this foreign island nation. Although some of the projects were assigned, Cuba has mostly been a subject of choice. Even after four months, I still had so many unanswered questions. I have answered many of my questions, but by no means do I feel all there is to know about Cuba.

This website has allowed me to revisit my time in Cuba, while at the same time it has also allowed me to generate a better understanding of how the country ticks. Cuba has been an intriguing addition to my studies.

I anxiously await returning.
