Ciego de Ávila stretches from the Atlantic Ocean in the north to the Caribbean Sea in the south. The interior of the province is a flat savanna. Mangroves swamps line both coasts. The center of the province hosts cattle ranches, while the coasts are dedicated to sugar production. There are also citrus and pineapple plantations. The Archipiélago de Sabana-Camagüey has several white sand beaches with sprouting resorts.
