The objectives of each segment are

Tormenta de Ideas sobre
Música:
* Students will demonstrate the ability to identify styles of American music by categorizing them.
* Students will produce a list of vocabulary that they will utilize in Spanish
Vocabulario Útil:
* Students will demonstrate knowledge of the key vocabulary concepts by using the vocabulary in the different activities that follow.
6 Estilos Tradicionales:
* After listening to samples of 6 styles of Mexican music, students will demonstrate the ability to distinguish one from the other on a listening quiz.
Discotecas:
* Students will demonstrate knowledge of disco vocabulary by conducting oral interviews with classmates, hispanohablantes, and college students.
* Students will demonstrate knowledge of interview material by creating a diagram summarizing the information.
* Students will demonstrate an understanding of discotecas and other dance/social opportunities for Mexican youth by discussing them in comparison with those in the U.S.
Artistas Actuales:
* Students will demonstrate a knowledge of 5 current artists and their styles by correctly identifying sound clips.
Entrevistas con Jóvenes de Puebla:
* Students will demonstrate comprehension of the aural segments by filling in the chart correctly.
¡A Bailar! :
* Students will demonstrate comprehension of the aural and visual segment by correctly sequencing the given events.
* Students will demonstrate knowledge of traditional regional dress by answering questions in the target language.
* Students will demonstrate their ability to appreciate Mexican music by learning a song and dance steps.

* Students will demonstrate knowledge of current artists by correctly matching artists to personal information.
¡Creatividad! - Sean Compositores:
* Students will demonstrate knowledge of their new topic and vocabulary by writing their own song to a traditional Mexican tune.
Proyecto FINAL:
* Students will demonstrate their knowledge, understanding, and appreciation of traditional Mexican music by choosing, categorizing, translating to English, and performing lip-sync of a chosen traditional song.
