Module Overview and Objectives
This module concerns the garbage and recycling culture in Fayetteville. Students are provided a variety of exercises that tap into the four skills of listening, speaking, reading and writing. Objectives for the topics are as follows:
Specialized vocabulary:
Students will demonstrate knowledge of the key vocabulary concepts by using them in the different activities that follow.
Savez-vous bien Père Noël?
Students will demonstrate knowlegde of Père Noël by answering multiple choice questions. Students will then learn more about world geography and famous attractions by viewing Père Noël in various locations via the Internet.
Un Courrier Électronique au Père Noël
Students will demonstrate writing skills by sending an e-mail to Père Noël that will be graded by instructor.
Chantez, chantez, chantez
Students will demonstrate aural comprension while listening to french Christmas carols.
Réveillon
Students will demonstrate comprehension of key vocabulary and writing skills by writing about their Christmas meals.
Le Noël d'un enfant français
Students will demonstrate aural comprehension by accurately responding to fill in the blank questions.
La Bûche de Noël
Students will demonstrate reading comprehension as well as learn about the metric system while reading a french recipe. Students will demonstrate speaking skills in the in class discussion to follow.

Students will demonstrate reading comprehension skills by answering multiple choice questions that require successful comparison skills.
La Fête des Rois
Students will improve reading comprehension by reading a text from a french Bible.
