However, most people in Europe were not even aware that, long before Shakespeare´s time, there were great civilizations in the country we now call México. Did you know that those civilizations had strong faith in their gods, hundreds of years before anyone on the North and South American continents had ever heard of Chrisitianity? Although México today is a predominantly Christian and Catholic nation, what did the population believe before they learned about Chrisitianity?
