¡Aprendamos vocabulario!
Before we begin learning about the arts in the Mexican school system, let´s learn some vocabulary.

¿Recuerdan?
In Spanish, to show that something belongs to someone, use de. This is the equivalent of 's (aspostrophe s) in English.
los zapatos de David = David's shoes
la musica de Santana = Santana's music
Remember, de combines with el to form the contraction del.
el perro del profesor = the teacher's dog

¿Recuerdan?
Adjectives must agree in
number and gender with the nouns that they modify. To make adjectives plural,
add -s (adjectives ending in a vowel) or -es (adjectives ending in a consonant).
If the adjective is not separated from the noun with a linking verb (ser), then
remember that the adjective generally follows the noun.
