2009 Food and Beverage Innovations Competition

You are invited to participate in the 2009 Food and Beverage Innovations Competition. In this competition you will submit the intent to enter form by January 26, 2009, develop a new healthy snack or healthy appetizer, prepare report and poster presentation for judging and orally present your product if you are one of the final six teams.

UA Food Science Team Wins Second in Danisco Competition
The University of Arkansas department of food science product development team won second place in the Danisco Knowledge Award Competition. The team members, which include Ashley Espinoza, Jeana Monrad, Fernanda Onofre and Brittany White, created a line of shelf-stable savory muffin mixes that allow consumers to add water, butter and eggs to prepare at home. The team won $5000 and will be traveling to Scottsdale, AZ to accept the award for their 'Fab J's Savory Muffin Mixes "Potato and Prosciutto"' at the New Product Development Meeting.
