A Life-Changing Summer

Summer is no vacation for University of Arkansas students who travel to one of the world’s most poverty-stricken regions to help a community in need. The Mozambique service learning project gives agriculture, business and engineering students the opportunity to use what they learn in the classroom to make a difference in the lives of others facing extreme conditions. Three Minutes Thesis

Preliminary heats will be held in each of the academic colleges during the week of Feb. 8-12. First and second place winners will be selected from each college and receive monetary prizes. The first place winner from each college will advance to a university-wide final on March 11. The top finisher will win $500 and a trip to compete in a regional contest.
