| WHO: | Undergraduate students who will have successfully completed 60 hours of course work with a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.25 on a 4.0 scale prior to May 2013 and attend a partner institution. Students that graduate May 2013, or any time prior, are not eligible to apply. |

| WHAT: | The George Washington Carver Research Program is a recruitment initiative to identify superior undergraduate students of Historically Black Colleges and Universities & Hispanic Serving Institutions for selected internship positions at the University of Arkansas. |
| WHEN: | May 19, 2013 to July 12, 2013 |
| WHY: | Interns will work directly with a faculty mentor and be exposed to various aspects of graduate study. Interns who successfully complete the program will receive a competitive research stipend, compensation for room, board, and travel. |
| TO APPLY: | Interested individuals must submit an application (an interactive PDF file), official transcripts, resume, two letters of recommendation, and application essay questions. All application materials can be located on our Web site listed below. The application deadline is April 1st, 2013. Internships will be awarded on a competitive basis. |
