Stephen Langsner called the meeting to order at 2:37 P.M.
- The minutes for March 28, 2008 were approved.
- Course Change Proposals:
- Undergraduate course change proposals (Table A) were approved without opposition and forwarded for the May 7, 2008 Faculty Senate meeting.
- Graduate course and Dual course change proposals (Tables B and C) were approved without opposition and forwarded for the May Graduate Council meeting.
- Old Business:
Pat Koski reminded the committee that there would be a member added for next year’s committee and they would represent the Honor’s College.
- New Business:
- Proposed undergraduate program change for the College of Arts and Sciences – Department of Art, ARTBA – (Table One, Attachment 1A and Attachment 1B) was presented by Chuck Adams. The program change requested the reduction of Studio Art hours required for the concentration in Art History from 12 to 6 and increased the number of hours of advanced Art History courses by 6 hours. The proposal was approved without opposition and will be forwarded for the May 7, 2008 Faculty Senate meeting.
- Proposed undergraduate program change for the College of Arts and Sciences – Department of Art, ARTBFA – (Table One, Attachment 1C and Attachment 1D) was presented by Chuck Adams. The program change requested to reduce the Art Studio elective hours from 8 to 6. The proposal was approved without opposition and will be forwarded for the May 7, 2008 Faculty Senate meeting.
- Proposed undergraduate program change for the College of Arts and Sciences – Department of Philosophy, PHILBA – (Table One, Attachment 1E) was presented by Chuck Adams. The program change requested to reduce the required hours of the History of Philosophy from 12 hours to nine hours with 3 hours being added to the upper level Philosophy electives. The proposal was approved without opposition and will be forwarded for the May 7, 2008 Faculty Senate meeting.
- There were no Graduate Program Changes.
