A Message from the Dean

WELCOME.

I appreciate your interest in pursuing graduate studies at the University of Arkansas and invite you to carefully explore all of the opportunities available to you here.

As the major land grant university for Arkansas, research, scholarship, and creative endeavor--all leading to the advancement of knowledge--are a primary mission. The University’s faculty are active researchers and scholars who consistently win prestigious national awards in the arts, sciences, humanities, technology and business. Additionally, we recently received a generous 100 million dollar gift from the Walton Family Foundation to endow the Graduate School.

We currently offer more than 140 graduate programs leading to advanced degrees in the Dale Bumpers College of Agricultural, Food and Life Sciences, the J. William Fulbright College of Arts and Sciences, the Sam M. Walton College of Business, the College of Education and Health Professions, the College of Engineering, and the School of Law.

We value diversity at the University of Arkansas and we are committed to maintaining a campus climate that respects and celebrates individuals regardless of their race, creed, religion, or sexual orientation.
