Fulbright College of Arts and Sciences, Department of English: Proposal to modify the language requirement for the M.A. degree in English (ENGLMA) so that each M.A. student must demonstrate a reading knowledge of language other than English that is relevant to his or her area of study (formerly the study of literature in English). This revision is intended to broaden the language requirement to include students who are not emphasizing literature--that is, to include students who are emphasizing Rhetoric and Composition (
