  5. New Business: Program Changes: Fulbright College of Arts and Sciences
    1. Department of Mathematical Sciences
      1. ) Proposal to require the GRE for admission to the M.S. degree in Mathematics (MATHMS) (Attachment A).
      2. ) Proposal to add an area of study in Mathematical Education to the Ph.D. degree in Mathematics (MATHPH) (Attachment B).
    2. Department of Music, proposal to add a concentration in collaborative Music to the M.M. degree in Music (MUSCMM) (Attachment C and Attachment D).
    3. Department of World Languages, Literatures, and Cultures, proposal to combine the M.A. degree in French (FRENMA) and the M.A. degree in German (GERMMA) into one degree, which will be an M.A. degree in Modern Languages (MLAN), with a concentration in German or French (Attachment E, Attachment F, and Attachment G)
    4. School of Social Work/School of Law: Proposal to offer a combined JD degree in the School of Law and an MSW degree in the School of Social Work (Attachment H and Attachment I).
  6. Discussion: Requiring that departments/programs check theses/dissertations for plagiarism before the document is submitted to the Graduate School to meet graduation requirements.
  7. Course change report from the University Course and Programs Committee (UCPC) (Attachment J)
  8. Graduate faculty recommendations for faculty: A preliminary list is attached (Attachment K). A complete list will be distributed at the meeting.
