Graduate School &
International Education

We’re happy you are visiting our site, and we would like to have a chance to welcome you, either in person, by phone or email, or on Facebook. Our Graduate School and International Education faculty and staff are ready to help – whether you seek admission to a graduate program or are ready to graduate!
Our number one goal is to serve our students. Our graduate and international recruitment and admissions staff will assist you with admission to a program. Our graduate student activities staff is ready with professional development programs to insure your success as a graduate student. The international students and scholars office will provide all the services needed by our international students. And our dean’s office will help you maintain degree progress through to graduation. Also associated with Graduate School and International Education are our partners in the Office of Study Abroad and the Spring International Language Center.
Of course, we’re proud of the more than 140 graduate programs we currently offer and we hope that one of them will be just right for you. Whether you seek to study online or on site, we encourage you to give us or the program staff a call and get all the details you’ll need to make an informed decision.
A growing institution, the University of Arkansas enrolled over 21,000 students in fall 2010, of whom 3,600 are graduate students; currently over 1,100 international students from over 120 countries study on our campus.
We value diversity highly at the University of Arkansas and are committed to nurturing a campus climate that respects and celebrates all individuals. We believe that the best learning environment is one where students, faculty and staff represent all the ways that we can be and are different. By learning from one another we all have an opportunity to grow in understanding of our world and our fellow humans.
The University of Arkansas proudly wears the mantle of one of the state’s land grant colleges, and is also Arkansas’ largest research university, with over $117 million in total funded research last year. Our faculty are active researchers and scholars who consistently win prestigious national awards in the arts, sciences, humanities, technology and business. Research at the University of Arkansas includes graduate students and undergraduate students through the Honors College and the Hermes project.
We invite you to contact us for further information or to schedule a visit to the campus so you can meet with the graduate faculty in your program of choice. We’re here to serve you.
Sincerely,
Todd G. Shields Dean, Graduate School and International Education |
