Instructions for Out-of-Career Registration

READ ALL INSTRUCTIONS

Please fill in all information you can, including Class Number, Class Title, Section, and Level (undergraduate, graduate, law, or agricultural law). If you are taking a class that has variable credit, please include the number of units requested.

If you are an undergraduate student, your request will not be processed without the signatures of both your advisor and the course instructor.

If the class is full~

Ask you advisor to fill out an Administrative Change of Registration Form and get appropriate signatures to be sent to the Graduate School.

If there is a Negative Service Indicator that prevents you from registering for any classes~

Advising~ You must see your advisor to have the advising hold removed.
Financial~ See Student Accounts in Hunt Hall (479/575-5651).
Other~ Contact Camille Johnson in the Graduate School (479/575-4401).

If there is a time conflict~

If you have made arrangements for this, your advisor must fill out an Administrative Change of Registration Form and submit it to the Registrar’s Office.

If there is a load limit~

For a graduate student a load limit is 15 hours.
For an undergraduate student a load limit is 18 hours.
You will need to fill out an Overload Petition and submit it to the Registrar’s Office.

If instructor’s permission is required~

Please have this noted on the Out-of-Career Registration Form on the bottom, with the instructor’s signature.

If the class is in Law School or you are a Law Student~

Please complete the Out-of-Career Registration Form, Law.

If the class is in the Walton College of Business~

Undergraduate courses for graduate students should contact the Walton College Advising Center in WCOB 328 (479/575-6308). Graduate courses for undergraduate students should contact Graduate School of Business in WCOB 475 (479/575-2852).

If there are pre- or co-requisites for the class that have not been met~

If you have received permission to enroll, ask your advisor to fill out an Administrative Change of Registration Form and get appropriate signatures to be sent to the Graduate School.

Gradate Students wishing to take a 3000-level or 4000-level class for graduate credit~

Ask your advisor to fill out the appropriate form and submit it to Dr. Koski, Ozark Hall 119.

Retroactive Graduate Credit~

Ask your advisor to fill out the appropriate form and submit it to the Graduate School, Ozark Hall 119.
