College of Engineering Students Receive Outstanding Paper Awards

Arpana Verma and Kumar Virwani, doctoral students from the mechanical engineering and microelectronics and photonics program, respectively, received the Outstanding Paper Award at the 4th annual International Symposium on Nanomanufacturing held Nov.1-3 at Massachusetts Institute of Technology. The students' research in the areas of nanoparticles based on advanced lubricants and nanoscale structural behavior at nanoprobe-molecular interface was recognized by the ISNM Chair and organizers. These patent pending discoveries are part of an ongoing research at the Materials and Manufacturing Research Laboratories at the University of Arkansas.
