Staff and Faculty, The Pat Walker Health Center, located on the corner of Maple and Garland, provides multi-dimensional health services to the University community through medical services, women's healthcare, counseling and psychological services, a full-service pharmacy, and health promotion and education. While our primary focus is on service to students, we are happy to care for our colleagues in need. University of Arkansas Faculty and Staff are eligible for medical services at the Pat Walker Health Center.

Faculty and staff find the Pat Walker Health Center
convenient as well as reliable high quality health care for the following:
Employees may
utilize the Health Center for injuries while on the job. Usually, this
is considered urgent (not emergency, not routine) medical care. As
with all Workmen's Compensation, employees and providers will complete
appropriate paperwork and forward it to the Program Coordinator in
Risk Management.
Pat Walker Health Center
physicians are QualChoice Primary Care Providers for employees who are
enrolled in the Classic or Point of Service Plans. For those employees who select
the Pat Walker Health Center physicians as
Primary Care Providers (PCP) or Primary Care Gynecologist, the
services of the pharmacy, x-ray and clinical laboratory are added
conveniences.
Many employees who travel internationally may access the Travel Immunization Program at the Pat Walker Health Center. Available 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily, this convenient service will bill departments and grants. Please note that QualChoice will not cover the cost of immunizations for travel. Employees who need allergy injections prescribed by an allergist can receive their injections and observations in the Health Center Allergy Clinic 8 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. and 1 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. on weekdays.
Consultations: Sometimes a faculty or staff member may have a concern about a
public health issue or the well-being of an individual. Members of
the Pat Walker Health Center staff are available for telephone
consultation.
The Pat Walker Health Center monitors the well-being of the University community. Constant surveillance for communicable disease or disruptive health events is a charge of the Health Center. Reports of easily transmitted diseases are closely monitored. When necessary, members of the community are notified of potential threats to community health. The Pat Walker Health Center partners with the following departments and agencies to assure careful monitoring of public health:
