Health Fee Information What does your health fee pay for? The $6.40 per credit hour
Health Fee covers many services at the · Office visits with a medical provider in the Primary Medical Clinic · Office visits with the gynecologist and nurse practitioner in the Women's Health Clinic · Office visits with a psychologist, social worker or professional counselor in CAPS · Personal counseling about prescriptions by a licensed pharmacist · Health Promotion and Education programs all over campus · Individual consultations with certified health education specialist to learn about ways of adopting a healthier lifestyle · RESPECT, a peer education group teaching peers about sexual assault prevention · STAR Central, a program for sexual assault and relationship violence risk reduction and victim advocacy services · Sexual assault counseling · REFLECTIONS, an on-going program to prevent disordered eating and to help those with disordered eating problems · Consultations with a nutritionist · Access to free mammograms for those with inadequate insurance coverage through a grant program funded in part by the Susan G. Komen Foundation · Healthy Student Behavior programs to maintain health and safety (e.g. sexually transmitted infections, drug and alcohol abuse, stress management, contraception) · Confidential HIV testing · Asthma management · Diabetes education and support · Pregnancy counseling · Preconception counseling · Nurse consultations · Mental health consultations · Visits from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday · Visits from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturdays (Fall and Spring Semesters) · Travel Immunization information · Allergy Clinic Visits · Consultation with an orthopedist · Access to on-site x-ray services and a clinical laboratory · Student Health Fair · Awareness Events and Education Programs concerning many health issues pertinent to the college population
