MISSION

The Office of International Students and Scholars serves foreign students and scholars and enhances the global awareness of the University of Arkansas community.

VALUES

We are dedicated to the foreign student/scholar's academic and personal development within the following three components:

  1. INDIVIDUAL: provide support to each foreign student/scholar within each aspect of his or her intellectual, physical, occupational, emotional, spiritual, and social development.
  2. UNIVERSITY: encourage each foreign student/scholar to be a full and contributing participant within the University of Arkansas community by establishing lasting bonds.
  3. COMMUNITY: enable each foreign student/scholar to prosper in a world of diverse cultures, races, religions, and lifestyles by building relationships based on appreciation and understanding of differences and similarities, and respect for and responsibility to others.

We are dedicated to advancing the global dimension of the university experience, working as partners with university students, faculty, staff and administrators.
