The Global Marketing Support Services
(GMSS) was established in 1993 to strengthen and promote international trade and marketing opportunities for Arkansas businesses. GMSS assists small to medium size businesses to compete effectively in international trade and investment. Education and training programs are individually designed to help firms identify overseas markets for their specific products and develop their export readiness. Product lines have included hard-wood moldings, men's sportswear, hand-blown glass, medical supplies, car wash equipment and a variety of speciality food products.

The Sponsored Student Program (SSP) provides a wide range of services to international students and scholars at the University of Arkansas who are funded by foreign governments, domestic and international agencies, private companies and corporations.

SSP is affiliated with the UA Graduate School. In addition to the Dale Bumpers College of Agricultural, Food and Life Sciences, SSP also provides similar support to the other five colleges and 120 academic programs at the University.

For International Agricultural Development, IAD provides support for faculty with specific technology transfer and education programs in international agriculture, environment and natural resources. Individual programs have helped improve the agricultural sectors, economies and local populations in Africa, Asia, Central and South America. The staff also has worked closely on projects through the U.S. Agency for International Development, the World Bank and other international agencies.
