Applications are still being accepted for a summer internship in Greece

Fayetteville, AR — If you have not made plans for this summer, you might consider a Greek adventure. It is not too late for Bumpers College students to apply for the Summer International Internship Program in Thessaloniki, Greece. Story.

The two-month internship program focuses on hands-on agricultural work experience with classes on culture and Greek traditions at the Dimitris Perrotis College of Agricultural Studies where English is the primary language. Students have the opportunity to work on the 350-acre campus and experiment station farms with dairy, poultry, greenhouse, horticulture and arable farming units.

The program begins the first week of June to July 28.  Participants selected for the internship will pay a $500 registration fee and provide round-trip transportation to Thessaloniki. The fee covers the costs of accommodation and meals. Scholarships are available. One of the highlights of the program is a weekend climb to Mt. Olympus, the "home of the Olympian Gods."

If interested, contact Dr. Raymond Barclay, Program Director, Global Studies Program. Deadline for applications is May 15.
