Diana Kormos Buchwald, Director and General Editor of the Einstein Papers Project, is also Professor of History in the Division of the Humanities & Social Sciences at the California Institute of Technology. She is the author of Walter Nernst and the Transition to Modern Physical Science, a biography of the German physical chemist who discovered the third law of thermodynamics and in 2008 will celebrate the completion of the fifth and sixth volumes of the Collected Papers of Albert Einstein to be published under her direction (out of twelve total).
