Catalog Description:
PHYS1054 Physics for Architects II (SP) Acoustics, electricity
and magnetism, light, and environmental physics. Topics include
resonance, acoustical isolation, interference, reverberation time,
electrical circuiltry with emphasis on power and efficiency, electrical
storage, light sources, reflection, refraction, absorption, transmission,
color, astronomy (to give perspective to the use of sunlight in
architecture), heat, noise, and radioactivity pollution. Lecture
3 hours, laboratory 2 hours per week. Corequisite: PHYS 1050L.
Prerequisite: PHYS 1044. UNIVERSITY CORE COURSE
