LocationThe University of Arkansas is in Fayetteville, Arkansas. Fayetteville is in northwest Arkansas, about four hours away from Little Rock. Northwest Arkansas has a population of about 100,000 people. The larger areas of Tulsa, OK; Joplin, MO; and Springfield, MO are each less than 2.5 hours away. Branson, MO (entertainment capital of mid-America) is about a two hour drive. On a larger scale, Fayetteville is centrally located in the northwest corner of the southern United States. We are within 6 hours of many major metropolitan areas (St. Louis, Dallas, Memphis), and within 12 hours of many more places (Chicago, Atlanta, Houston, Cincinnati). We are served by one of the newest airports in the country (Northwest Arkansas Regional Airport - airport code XNA), with direct jet service to Dallas, Chicago, Houston, St. Louis, Atlanta, Memphis, Minneapolis/St. Paul, Charlotte, Cincinnati, Los Angeles, and New York City.
