Noyce Scholarship

The University of Arkansas received a major grant to help in teacher preparation. Students interested in teaching can receive a Noyce Fellowship to support their senior year and one year of graduate study. The is enough time to complete the MAT program. Information available at Noyce Scholarship

SMART

The Science, Mathematics And Research for Transformation (SMART) Scholarship for Service Program has been established by the Department of Defense (DoD) to support undergraduate and graduate students pursuing degrees in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) disciplines. The program aims to increase the number of civilian scientists and engineers working at DoD laboratories. Link to Program

The sponsor awards scholarships to minority individuals enrolled as full-time undergraduate or graduate students in a technical field.

General Emmett Paige Scholarships, 2007

Scholarships of $2,000 each will be awarded to persons on active duty in the uniformed military services, to veterans, and to their spouses or dependents, who are working full time toward a degree at an accredited four-year colleges or universities in the U.S. (Veterans entering college as freshmen are eligible to apply; all others must be enrolled as sophomores or juniors at the time of application.)

Undergraduate Transfer Scholarship Program

The sponsor awards scholarships to students transferring from two-year to four-year schools. The sponsor will award approximately fifty scholarships to outstanding students to begin studies in Fall of 2008. Scholars may use the award to attend an accredited college or university in the US or abroad in pursuit of a baccalaureate degree.

American Indian Education Foundation Scholarship Program

The sponsor provides scholarships to undergraduate students of Native American or Alaska Native descent (student or one parent must be enrolled and have documentation) attending an accredited two or four year college/university or technical/vocational school.

Universities Space Research Association

The sponsor provides scholarships to students who have shown a career interest in the physical sciences or engineering with an emphasis on space research or space science education.
