Poultry Science Association Meeting
Ixchel Reyes-Herrera was awarded the Student Certificate of Excellence for her presentation at the 98th Poultry Science Association Meeting in Raleigh, NC. The title of her presentation was "Validation of a simple screening procedure to estimate contaminant concentrations in processed poultry." Congratulations Ixchel!

Arkansas Academy of Science Winner
Komal Singh Rasaputra, a graduate student of Dr. Narayan. C. Rath, won second place for oral presentation at the 93rd Annual meeting of the Arkansas Academy of Science held at the University of the Ozarks, Clarksville, Arkansas on April 3-4, 2009.

Title: Proteomic changes in tibial head cartilage of chickens with tibial dyschondroplasia, a metabolic skeletal disease
