OVERRIDE REQUESTS

Because of our large number of majors and the popularity of many of our courses, they fill quickly. When we set up our class schedule, we did our utmost to ensure that we will have sufficient seats to accommodate graduating seniors. In addition, we will be adhering strictly to our override policy, which is listed below.

The only exception to the override policy is PSYC 2013, Statistics. We
have set aside some spaces in each section for our majors, and the guidelines are listed in the override policy.

DEPARTMENT OF PSYCHOLOGY FULL CLASS OVERRIDE POLICY
1. Overrides into closed sections will not be considered if other sections of the same or other courses which fulfill the requirement remain open.
2. Overrides into closed sections will be considered for students who will actually graduate at the end of the proposed semester, AND for whom that particular class is the only one which will fulfill the requirement.
3. Order of precedence is Psychology Majors, Psychology Minors, Other majors.
4. Completing an override request does not guarantee accommodation into the class.

STATISTICS (PSYC 2013)

If you try to register for PSYC 2013 and find both sections closed, don't panic. We have saved some seats for our majors. If the class is full you will need to fill out an override form, available in MH 216, and leave it with the secretaries. At the end of the registration period we
will consider override requests according to the following priorities:
