Debra earned her Ph.D. in Social Psychology from the University of Cincinnati. For more than a decade, she has researched issues related to disability, chronic illness, employment and advocacy. Her previous employment includes: Project Director at the Boston V.A. Medical Center; Post-Doctoral Associate with the Department of Psychiatry at Yale University; NIMH Post-Doctoral Fellow at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, NYC; Project Director and Principal Investigator at the National Development and Research Institutes, NYC and, most recently, as Research Director at the Rehabilitation Research and Training Center on Community Rehabilitation Programs at the University of Wisconsin – Stout. She is currently analyzing trends in VR service delivery and employment outcomes for persons who are deaf or hard of hearing. Dr. Hagen-Foley has been with the Research and Training Center since January 2005.
