Teacher Training Program


TEFL Certificate Program

For native English speakers who plan to teach ESL abroad and for international non-native EFL teachers with advanced English skills interested in learning new creative teaching strategies and becoming better EFL teachers in their home countries.

Program Dates: July 7 – August 1, 2009

The program will consist of 100-110 hours of courses and workshops in:

  • Teaching Methodology
  • Reading and Writing Skills Workshops
  • English Phonology and Pronunciation
  • Technology in the Classroom: Using Computers and the Internet for EFL Teachers
  • Community Contact Assignments: interacting in the local community
  • Learning and Teaching English Grammar Interactivity
  • Discovering Your Teaching Self: Inquiry and Teaching
  • Oral Communications
  • Testing and Assessment
  • Cross Cultural Communications and their impact on teaching
  • Educational Lectures and Professional Visits to Public Schools

Fees for 2009:

  • $ 1,650 without housing*
  • $ 100 Application Fee

Fees include: Tuition, Workshops, Educational Visits, Campus Fees, and Certificates

Fees do not include textbooks; some optional extracurricular activities carry small fees.
