History
The University of Arkansas Children’s Choir began in 1997 as a dream of Dr. Donna Wiggins, former Professor of Music at the University of Arkansas. There are currently 120 students in the two choirs. Choir I is for students in the 4th and 5th grades. Choir II is for students 6th through 8th grades. Under the direction of Candace Davis and her assistant, the students are taught a wide-range of musicality, including sight-singing, rhythm-reading, harmony and solfege.

Annual Fee Information
The annual fee to be a part of the Children’s Choir is $200 of which $100 is due in the summer and $100 is due during our first rehearsal. The parents are also responsible for the purchase of a uniform $75 ($40 used) and any costs for trips. Limited scholarships are available for those who need help.


Audition Information
Auditions for the Children’s Choir are held in the spring of year. Students are recommended by their music teachers and auditioned by the children’s choir director at their schools.


How to Support the Children’s Choir

We are happy to accept your financial support. Your donation of any amount can be sent to the UFA Music Building. Please label your donation for the University Children’s Choir and a receipt will be sent to you for tax purposes.
