| QUALIFICATIONS: Completed
Bachelor's degree in Music. |
| |
| Duties: Assist
the Professor of Trumpet with the teaching and administration
of the total trumpet program. |

| STIPEND: $6,
400 for the academic year and waiver of both in and out-of-state
tuition. Assistantships are renewable for up to four semesters,
assuming satisfactory performance. |

| The Department of Music is fully accredited by the National
Association of Schools of Music to offer the Master of Music
in all performance specialties, in Vocal and Instrumental Conducting,
Theory and Composition, History of Music (including an option
in Early Music Performance) in Music Education. The Music Department
has a distinguished full-time faculty. |

| Fayetteville, Arkansas is in the scenic Boston Mountains of

| There are many outstanding performance opportunities throughout
the University and the community including the North Arkansas
Symphony and Chamber Orchestra; a wide range of choral ensembles;
Opera Theatre; two concert bands, marching and specialized bands;
Jazz Ensemble; early music performance; and chamber and solo
performance opportunities. Performances are given in the nationally-accliamed
Walton Arts Center, and in the newly-refurbished Stella Boyle
Smith Concert Hall, designed by famed Arkansas Architect Edward
Durrel Stone. Summer study opportunities include staffing opportunities
in our summer music camps. |
