Art Galleries

  • Anne Kittrell Art Gallery - This gallery focuses on student exhibits but also provides space for the larger university community. Located on the fourth floor of the Arkansas Union.
  • Fine Arts Center Gallery - This gallery features exhibitions of artwork by art students as well as professional artists. Located on the main floor of the Fine Arts Center.
  • Mullins Library - A variety of paintings, photographs and drawings have been exhibited. Located near reference section on main floor of Mullins.

Bands and Symphonies
The university supports four concert bands and four athletic bands as well as a drumline. See their schedules here.

Music Department Concert Series
The music department supports faculty and student ensembles, jazz bands, choral groups, opera and symphony as well as performances by guest artists.

University Theatre
The drama department features six theatrical plays during the regular school year as well as a summer season with the Boar's Head Players.

University Programs
This student-run program provides videos, theater, concerts and lectures to enrich the campus cultural offerings.

Our impact on the world

Silent Screening

Professor Frank Scheide worked with the British Film Institute to catalog the films of Charlie Chaplin, including more than 70 hours of previously unavailable outtakes. Scheide's work shines a light on the career of one of the major filmmakers of history, and a pioneer in the field of film.
