In the original the "message in the snow", of course, is just the two-katakana word "baka" (much easier to write than the English word"idiots!").

A cute tennis reference in the original which for some reason they didn't keep in the translation: when Godai and Mitaka are arguing over how far they have gone towards winning Kyoko's heart, Godai says "she opened the door wide open for me!", to which Mitaka replies "but you haven't gone in yet". Godai then looks upset, but does not say anything. Mitaka then concludes: "15 all."
