It is commonly referred to as credit for certifications. Experiential Learning credit is earned by documenting the knowledge acquired from professional certifications, prior training, or work experience that does not carry U of A credit or that is not otherwise reflected on the plan of study. Dr. Kit Books [cabrooks "at" uark.edu] directs Experiential Learning. HRDV 3503 Workforce Behavior (Web-based, available Summer only) is the prerequisite course for HRDV 450V Experiential Learning. HRD students must wait until at least the summer of their two-year rotation of HRD classes to register for Experiential Learning. To have any credit from Experiential Learning applied to the transcript in a given semester, HRD students must enroll in the HRDV 450V course, specify the number of hours of credit, and pay tuition by the due dates for that semester. It is recommended that HRD students consult with their academic advisor, read the Certification Guidelines (Adobe Acrobat Reader Required), and review the steps with Dr. Brooks before begining the process by completing a Certification Credit Review Application. |
