Human Resource Development (HRDV) Technical Credit for Professional Certifications or Experiential Learning
HRDV 450V Experiential Learning
(Pre-requisite: HRDV 3503 Workforce Behavior)
HRDV450V, Experiential Learning, is the fourth method commonly used to earn credit to satisfy HRDV Technical Requirements. It is commonly referred to as credit for certifications.
Experiential Learning credit is earned by documenting the knowledge acquired from professional certifications, prior training, or work experience that does not carry U of A credit or that is not otherwise reflected on the plan of study. Dr. Kit Kacirek [kitk(at)uark.edu] directs Experiential Learning. HRDV 3503 Workforce Behavior (available Spring and Summer only) is the prerequisite course for HRDV 450V Experiential Learning. HRDV students may begin applying awarded Experiential Learning credit to their program of study the semester after completing Workforce Behavior.
To have any credit from Experiential Learning applied to their program of study, HRDV students must complete the credit for certification process outlined below. Tuition is charged for credit hours awarded each semester by the HRDV 450V process.
It is recommended that HRDV students consult with their academic advisor, read the Certification Guidelines (Adobe Reader Required), and review the steps with Dr. Kacirek before begriming the process by completing a Certification Credit Review Request .
