2009 Endowed Position Holder Luncheon
August 21, 2009

Endowed position holders exemplify academic excellence at the University of Arkansas. On August 21, 14 new position holders were recognized by their deans and presented with medallions. Held at the Janelle Y. Hembree Alumni House and hosted by Chancellor G. David Gearhart, the luncheon welcomed 126 individuals including current and past endowed position holders, deans, benefactors and key university administrators. The audience celebrated the new position holders as they were introduced by University of Arkansas Provost Sharon Gaber. The key note speaker for this year's event was John Tyson, who spoke to the importance of endowed positions at the University of Arkansas.
