January 6 - January 15 Open Registration and Drop/Add for new students who did not participate in Orientation and for all other students admitted for Spring 2010
January 8 Open Registration for students using the Senior Citizen Discount Waiver
January 10

Last day:

  • to receive 100% cancellation of fees for an Official Withdrawal for Spring 2010
January 11 Classes begin at 7:30 a.m.
January 11 – January 21 90% fee refund for an Official Withdrawal, charged $45.00 withdrawal fee
January 13 Last day to add a 1st 8-week class and last day for 100% refund for dropping 1st 8-week class
January 15

Last day:

  • to add a full semester course
  • to register for Spring 2010
  • to drop 1st 8-week course without a mark of "W"
  • to receive a 100% cancellation of fees for dropping a full term course while remaining enrolled; no fee adjustment for dropping an individual course after this date
  • to change from Audit to Credit
  • of Spring 2010 Fee Payment Deadline
  • to apply for Residency reclassification for Spring 2010
  • to have Spring 2010 college-based fees adjusted by changing colleges
January 18 Martin Luther King Day Holiday
January 22 - February 1 Receive 80% cancellation of fees for officially withdrawing from all courses, charged $45.00 withdrawal fee; no tuition or fee adjustment for dropping an individual class
January 25

Last day:

  • change from Credit to Audit
  • drop a full semester course without having the mark of "W" shown on the official record (no fee adjustment). A full semester course dropped after January 25 but on or before March 19 will remain on the official record with a mark of "W" indicating withdrawal; no full semester course or courses may be dropped after March 19, unless the student officially withdraws from all courses
February 2 - February 11 Receive 70% cancellation of fees for officially withdrawing from all courses, charged $45.00 withdrawal fee; no tuition or fee adjustment for dropping an individual class
February 12 Last day to drop a 1st 8-week course with a mark of "W" (no fee adjustment)
February 12 - February 22 Receive 60% cancellation of fees for officially withdrawing from all courses, charged $45.00 withdrawal fee; no tuition or fee adjustment for dropping an individual class
February 23 - March 5 Received 50% cancellation of fees for officially withdrawing from all courses, charged $45.00 withdrawal fee; no tuition or fee adjustment for dropping an individual class
February 19 Application deadline for students who plan to graduate at the end of Spring 2010
February 24 Early Progress Grades E-Mailed for 1000 and 2000 Level Classes
March 2 1st 8-week classes end
March 3 2nd 8-week classes begin
March 5 Last day to add a 2nd 8-week course and last day for 100% refund for dropping 2nd 8-week class
March 6 - March 16 Receive 40% cancellation of fees for officially withdrawing from all courses - Charged $45.00 withdrawal fee; no tuition or fee adjustment for dropping an individual class. No adjustment of fees for officially withdrawing after March 16
March 9

Last day to drop a 2nd 8-week course without a "W" (no fee adjustment)

March 19 Last day to drop a full semester course or courses with a mark of "W" (no fee adjustment); no full term course or courses may be dropped after March 19 unless the student officially withdraws from all courses
March 22 - March 26 Spring Break
April 5 - April 16 Priority Registration for Summer and Fall 2010 for currently enrolled students
April 9 Last day to make up incomplete marks for previous semester attended
April 13 Last day to drop a 2nd 8-week course with a "W" (no fee adjustment)
April 29

Last day:

  • to officially Withdraw from all full semester courses (no individual drops, no fee adjustment)
  • of Spring 2010 classes
April 30 Dead Day
April 30 Final copies of master’s thesis/doctoral dissertations must be submitted to the Graduate School for students graduating in May 2010
May 1 - May 7 Final Examination period
May 8 Commencement

NOTE: Certain classes meet for less than a full semester. For example, many Physical Education Activity classes meet for 8 weeks. Students register for or add these classes according to the dates and procedures specified in the Schedule of Classes. Deadlines for adding and dropping partial semester courses are noted in the "Course Listing" section.
