Now
don't get me wrong. Georgia's has great food. They make great
gyros and sandwiches and some mean spanakopita; obviously,
their food preparation is not the problem I have with them.
I consistently get bad service when I go there.
I
work close by Georgia's at a little gift store, and I order
out for lunch frequently. Georgia's has the best and most
affordable variety around, so for awhile, I overlooked the
bad service. Then one day, a couple of months ago, I went
in to pick up my order. Not only was I not treated very nicely,
I also got skimped on my food. That was it, I was pissed.
So, I wrote a letter right then at work, and within fifteen
minutes after first picking up my food, I went back over and
hand delivered the letter to a waiter because I was told the
manager was not in. I left my name and phone number on the
letter, in case someone wanted to get in touch with me, and
I heard nothing. So I decided never to go back.
This
plan did not work. About a month and a half later I started
ordering from there again. This time the service was marginally
better. But on October 13, I again vowed never to order from
there again. I went over to pick up my food. I sat at the
bar, as usual, and waited for the server to come over to me.
He said he would be with me in two minutes. After sitting
there, unattended, for five minutes a man with son came and
sat at the bar, then a very large man entered and sat at the
bar. After a couple more minutes the server came back and
went to the large man first then to the father and son, and
then he went by me without so much as a glance. To say the
least I was flaming mad. I grabbed what I thought was my take
out order and left. I'm just glad that I grabbed the right
order, or else they would have had another angry customer
on their hands (not hard to believe).
So, to anyone who reads this, I strongly urge that you never
eat at Georgia's Gyros unless you like bad service.
