What is the GSE?

The GSE (Graduate Students in English) is an organization that wants to help our graduate students become the best they can possibly be. Essentially, we have one goal: to foster professional growth in our graduate students. Some of the ways that we accomplish this are as follows:

1. We work with faculty members to host workshops that deal with publishing articles, writing your C.V., and giving a good job interview/job talk.
2. We invite speakers to come from all over the country to come give a lecture at our University.
3. We hold a graduate conference every year to give our students the opportunity to present their work to their peers.
4. We support our students who both wish to attend a conference and/or present a paper at a conference through funding the registration fee. For more information on how to seek funding, please read the funding page.

We take great pride in the fact that we help our graduate students grow professionally, and we look forward to working with both the faculty and the student body in making the GSE even better.
