Discipleship is the key. Discipleship is a relational journey that promises a time of accelerated spiritual growth.
It is the desire of ICF that every active Christian member goes through a discipleship program to help deepen their personal faith and to help strengthen the whole group.
"A chain is only as strong as it's weakest link."
Our discipleship program is a weekly one on one (or two on one) study with a qualified discipler. There is weekly "homework" to prepare and a weekly meeting to discuss key topics. The topics are:
1. Knowing God -- discovering together what the gospel is and what a Christian is.
2. Growing up in Christ -- the basics of daily Christian life.
3. Understanding the Message of Christ -- looking at some key Christian doctrines.
4. Becoming like Christ -- developing some character issues in ourselves to be more Christ like.
5. Serving Christ -- learning the importance of offering ourselves to serve the body of believers and using our gifts in the body of believers.
