Jim Guy Tucker issued an apology today to Mike Huckabee and the people
of Arkansas for his attempt at remaining governor yesterday.

Jim Guy Tucker made one last attempt at retaining the governorship by
refusing to resign as promised. Tucker later resigned after losing
support from both House and Senate leaders -- support needed to ward
off threatened impeachment procedings by then Lt. Gov. Mike Huckabee.
Huckabee was sworn in later at night.

Hutchinson (3rd) has decided not to enter the Senate race.

Mike Huckabee has decided not to continue the Senate race in order
to devote his efforts to being Governor.
