Sensory/Taste Panels;
The Sensory Evaluation Center is part of the Department of Food Science and the Institute of Food Science and Engineering. It is under the direction of Dr Jean F Meullenet (479/575-6822). The Center can evaluate products using two types of taste panels. A descriptive analysis test is used to profile food products for their appearance, aroma, flavor and texture. Consumer tests are used for consumer acceptance of a product. Numerous modifications can be made depending on your needs and the product. Visit the website at www.uark.edu/ua/sensory/.
