It is amazing how God uses incapable people to do His will! This Spring Break
I led a trip to Chicago with Stephanie Owcarz, and God broke my pride in keeping
even me in the dark of what He had planned for us. Through different events
prior to Spring Break, the trip was not completely planned until two days before
we left. Stephanie and I trusted that God would provide and we trusted in His
guidance...and He provided amazingly!
The trip was something that I had never experienced, and as a group we worked
together in place that was far from our comfort zone. Chicago is far from being
Fayetteville, AR, so depending on God for wisdom and guidance was a must. We
worked with a new church in a diverse area filled with yuppies, Goths,
homosexuals, and homeless. We helped by picking up trash in the neighborhood,
working construction on the church, and walking the streets doing surveys. The
surveys really allowed us to witness in a new way because the people were people
who we have never had to confront in my past. In over four days of surveys we
did not meet one Christian on the streets! This area was far from Arkansas, but
drew us closer to God and His guidance!
