The Moon In the next few decades, humans will return to the Moon as a stepping-stone to Mars and beyond. Scientists and engineers in the Keck Laboratory study samples returned by the Apollo program and meteorites from the Moon, compare and contrast surface processes on the Moon and other airless bodies, and develop sample collectors that can be used on missions to the Moon.
