Our mission is a broad one involving tens of objectives. Listed below are just a few:
Goal 1: To establish a Military/Veterans Assistance Center – to be in a specific area (Union RSO Office area) and to maintain office hours (staffed by RSO members) as to provide information assistance to [veterans/current military] prospective students, current students, and faculty/staff. This will serve as a one-stop shopping conduit in which to funnel important/specific information to serve the unique and diverse veteran/military student population. This office will serve a current target demographic of 750 students.
Goal 2: To be the voice of the military/veteran student on campus.
Goal 3: To raise awareness on campus and in the local community regarding the challenges that face our military/veteran students at the UA.
Goal 4: To strengthen the bond of the UA with outside agencies that provide services to our current military/veteran students and to identify possible new relationships that may exist.
Goal 5: To conduct community service and outreach activities related to the purpose, mission, and beliefs.
Goal 6: To further the inclusiveness/diversity goals of UA and establish UA – Fayetteville as a “military/veteran friendly school”, by advocating for the unique needs of the military/veteran student.
