Welcome to the Plant Science Ph.D. Program, an interdisciplinary graduate program between the departments of Horticulture and Plant Pathology. Primary faculty research interests in Plant Pathology include biological control of plant diseases and weeds, breeding of disease resistance, fungal biology, forest pathology, diseases of crop plants, mycotoxicology, mycoplasmas, nematology, physiology of parasitism and resistance, plant disease control, phytobacteriology, soil microbiology, and virology. In Horticulture, research interests include genetics and plant breeding of fruit or vegetable crops, physiology and culture of fruit, vegetable or ornamental crops, physiology and management of turfgrasses, and plant biotechnology.
