Federal (U.S. jobs)
- Calltoserve - Sponsored by the Partnership for Public Service, in partnership with the Office of Personnel Management, this a place to begin to find out more about federal service, be it jobs or internships.
- FedWorld.gov - A search mechanism for federal jobs in any state.
- FirstGov - A link to federal agencies, as well as state and local governments.
Non-Profit, Academic and Other Policy Jobs
- Public Service Careers - Sponsored by ASPA, APPAM, and NASPAA. Academic and public service jobs.
- Policy Jobs and Internships - Policy Jobs is a job advertising website specializing in public policy jobs: covering research, policy making, and academic jobs in many fields including: foreign policy, economics, social policy, family policy, legal affairs and fiscal policy. - Chronicle of Higher Education - Jobs in higher education (administration and faculty).
- Moving Ideas - Nonprofit and progressive jobs.
- State PIRGs - State public interest research groups speak for the public interest. Jobs include analysts, fund raisers, research integrators, internships and more.
- Town Hall - An information exchange network for conservative public policy organizations, congressional staff, and political activists that also offers information on employment, internships and fellowships.
- Public Policy Institute of California - Fellowships and other positions doing policy research in California.
- The Hill - Washington D.C. jobs
- Roll Call - The newspaper of Capitol Hill is a good source for jobs primarily in the Washington, D.C., area. One-time, free registration required.
- The Charity Channel - Sponsored by the American Philanthropy Review, it allows searches for nonprofit/voluntary sector jobs worldwide.
- The Idealist - A project of Action without Borders allowing searches of more than 29,000 nonprofit and community organizations in 153 counties, volunteer opportunities at home and abroad, and a career center.
International Opportunities
- Briefing Book on International Organizations - Sponsored by the U.S. Mission to the United Nations in Geneva as a guide to the principal international organizations in and around that city.
- DevNetJobs - A voluntary initiative by volunteers in developing and developed countries that posts international jobs.
- Human Rights Job Board - Posts job announcements for employment with human rights organizations around the world.
