All members of Alpha Phi Omega are required to go through a six to ten week pledging period in which prospective members learn about the history, goals and structure of our organization. The exact details of the program are laid out in each semester's Pledging Policy.

Pledges are required to attend an initiation ceremony at the beginning of the program and an activation ceremony at the end of the program, unless something is otherwise arranged with the Pledge Trainer.

Pledges will experience absolutely no hazing and are immediately treated with respect as fellow brothers.
