The University
of Arkansas School of Architecture has the only accredited, professional
architecture and landscape architecture programs in Arkansas. We are located
in Fayetteville, a growing community with a population of 58,000, where
students may study the impact of urbanization on a rural setting. We encourage
our students to develop high aspirations for the environments that, as
future architects and landscape architects, they transform, create, and
inhabit.
Whether students choose to pursue a bachelor of architecture degree, a
bachelor of landscape architecture degree, or a bachelor of science in
architectural or landscape architectural studies degree, they will have
opportunities for unique professional experience in our Rome Study Center
for Architecture and the Humanities, Mexico Summer Urban Studio, European
Summer Field Studies, or the University of Arkansas Community Design Center
(UACDC).
Our students have designed and constructed homes for low-income families,
created a peace garden from the interpretation of different cultures, developed
long-term habitation modules for NASA to use on Mars, designed and constructed
a fully accessible tree house for a camp serving children with special
needs, and provided community planning services throughout Arkansas. |
