Gene Kritisky, "Darwin's Origin of Species: Its History and Meaning"
Noted entomologist and Darwin scholar Gene Kritisku will speak on "Darwin's Origin of Species: Its History and Meaning" Nov. 19 at 7:30 p.m. in Giffels Auditorium, Old Main. His visit is in conjunction with the 200th anniversary of the birth of Charles Darwin and the 150th anniversary of the publication of his book, Origin of Species. He will also present a biology seminar at 4 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 19, about periodical cicadas and an entomology seminar at 11:30 a.m. Friday, Nov. 20, on the history of bee hives. His visit is being jointly sponsored by the departments of entomology and biological sciences.
